I’m sure you’ve seen You’ve Got Mail, as it’s on TV just about every weekend. In one of his letters to Meg Ryan’s character, the Tom Hanks character writes, “Don't you love New York in the Fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”
A couple of years ago, knowing that I too love Fall (although I would have said, “Don’t you love Bucks County in the Fall?”) and knowing that this is one of my favorite lines in the movie, Nick made me my very own pencil bouquet.
Each year we display it during the month of September in honor of the exciting feeling we used to get while going back to school shopping. Isn’t he the best? Don’t those pencils just give you a warm and happy feeling?

Adorable! Nick is a champ! I love fall, too! What a great way to celebrate that "back to school" feeling!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm not the only one who appreciates a nicely sharpened pencil!
